Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our client's team on a contract basis in Wethersfield, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth front-office operations, providing excellent service to patients, and maintaining an organized workflow. This is a position scheduled Monday through Friday, for a duration of 3-6 months. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage scheduling for patient appointments efficiently.
- Handle registration processes, including verifying insurance information.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of patient information.
- Respond promptly to phone calls and address inquiries with attention to detail.
- Maintain the reception area to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Coordinate with medical staff to support daily operations and patient flow.
- Monitor and manage daily appointment volume, accommodating approximately 60-70 patients per day.
- Provide support for administrative tasks as needed.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with medical office policies.
- Proficiency in patient scheduling and appointment management.
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle high patient volume while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes.
