A property management group in Westwood is hiring an Accounting Assistant on a contract-to-hire basis. As the Accounting Assistant, you will assist in accounts payable, general accounting support, and data entry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing and verification.
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of payables and payments.
  • Process company credit card transactions, including reimbursements from various properties.
  • Check the accuracy of business transactions and perform reconciliations of accounts with invoices and other supporting financial data.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and financial reports as requested.
  • Perform data entry and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service when handling calls and emails from tenants and vendors.
  • Utilize accounting software (such as MRI), Excel, and Word effectively for data processing.
  • Provide support to accounting staff with additional departmental responsibilities as assigned, including filing and other tasks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong accounts payable (AP) skills.
  • Fast and accurate data entry abilities.
  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or related fields required.
  • Experience in property management preferred but not required.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills; deadline and detail oriented.
  • Proficient with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.


This is an onsite position in Westwood. Hours are Monday – Friday from 7-3:30PM with overtime. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of AP experience. Experience with MRI is a plus. Pay is based on experience, between $25-30/hr. 

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to perform fast and accurate data entry.
• Prior experience in accounting, finance, or related fields; property management experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other relevant software.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
