Job Description

We are seeking an Accounting Associate with strong Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) experience. The ideal candidate is analytical, goal-oriented, and proactive, with excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with IQMS and Spreadsheet Server is highly desired. Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.

Contract LOA with a chance to go perm. Offering $25-27/hr. Located in Oceanside, CA

Key Responsibilities

- Process vendor invoices, credit memos, and expense reports accurately and timely.

- Match POs, receivers, and invoices; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

- Manage weekly payment runs including checks, ACH, and wire payments.

- Maintain vendor files, W-9 documentation, and assist with 1099 reporting.

- Prepare customer invoices and credit memos across multiple business units.

- Apply customer payments and reconcile AR aging weekly.

- Research and resolve payment discrepancies; follow up on overdue accounts.

- Assist with customer statements and credit checks.

- Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaid, depreciation schedules).

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, prepaid, accruals, etc.).

- Support inventory accounting tasks including reviewing receipts and variances.

- Assist with fixed asset tracking, additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation.

- Run financial and operational reports using Spreadsheet Server (highly desired).

- Help support compliance requirements during audits (internal/external).


Qualifications

- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 2+ years of hands-on AP and AR experience required.

- Excel proficiency required—pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas.

- Experience with IQMS (manufacturing ERP) and Spreadsheet Server highly desirable.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
