HR Specialist
Our clients in Morris County, NJ are expecting needs in the new year.
Own day to day HR operations with a heavy emphasis on HR systems, employee lifecycle transactions, and leave administration. You'll keep data clean, processes humming, and employees supportedno drama, high impact.
What You'll Do
HRIS & Tickets: Resolve Tier 1 & 2 HRIS tickets; maintain user access/permissions; audit and correct data; process hires, transfers, terms, and promotions; support reporting (headcount, turnover, compliance).
Process Optimization: Spot bottlenecks, streamline workflows, document SOPs/job aids, and partner on configurations, testing, upgrades, and integrations.
Leave Administration: Initiate/track FMLA, disability, parental, and company leaves; liaise with third party administrators; coordinate return to work and escalate complex cases to HRBP.
Payroll & Comp Support: Validate payroll inputs, partner on FLSA adherence and compensation changes; assist with open enrollment tasks as needed.
Employee Support: Field policy/process questions, route employee relations issues appropriately, and deliver a consistent, service oriented experience.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 36 years in HR Operations/Shared Services with hands on HRIS and leave management. Systems familiarity (UKG, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP) is a plus.
Skills: Excel/reporting chops, precision with data, process improvement mindset, and strong communication for training and support.
Knowledge: Core employment practices; FMLA/ADA basics; when to escalate ER matters to HRBP/Legal.
Clients offer medical, dental, 401K and up to 15 days of PTO.
