We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Tax to lead our tax function and drive compliance, planning, and reporting initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping our tax strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and enhancing our overall financial performance. Responsibilities
Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Lead tax planning initiatives, including acquisition integration, revenue recognition, and transfer pricing strategies.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and systems, leveraging technology and best practices.
Mentor and develop tax team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
Qualifications Must-Have
Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax management, with a strong focus on corporate tax compliance and planning.
Proven expertise in ASC-740, acquisition integration, and revenue recognition.
Experience with ERPs such as SAP or NetSuite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly.
Nice-to-Have
Professional certification (CPA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience in international tax matters and cross-border transactions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
