Amazon Connect is designed from the ground up to be omnichannel, providing a seamless experience across voice and chat for customers and agents. This highly technical position requires a deep technical specialist who can dive deep, build complex, AWS-optimized architectures, and help customers accelerate adoption of AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide customers with deep technical expertise to advance adoption of AWS products in service to customer goals.
Collaborate with specialist, sales, marketing, and products teams to ideate around customers’ most challenging business problems.
Act as a trusted advisor to line of business and C‑suite leaders.
Lead architectural reviews and workshops to advance customer technical objectives.
Share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, reference architectures, and public‑speaking events.
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
Provide data and anecdotes on what is working and what is not back to the broader specialist community and product teams; act as primary point of contact for urgent customer issues in your technical specialty.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
Knowledge of SAP systems and architecture (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Business Warehouse).
Experience working with end‑user or developer communities and managing relationships with SAP customers and partners.
Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP, and related cloud ecosystems.
Experience designing and building using non‑SAP technologies in domains such as Generative/Agentic AI and data analytics.
Location Greater Chicago Area (flexible remote options available).
