Senior Project Manager – Business Development Team

Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Project Manager to join our Business Development team, helping to drive our expansion on recruitment and onboarding, practice acquisition, succession, and M&A. This role is critical in driving our most important strategic initiatives from concept to execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, is highly organized, and excels at cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Job Responsibilities
Lead strategic initiatives: Take ownership of high‑impact business development projects, leading them from ideation through to implementation and delivery.
Project execution: Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and success metrics to ensure on‑time and on‑budget execution of initiatives.
Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, Product, and Legal to align efforts, uncover dependencies, and ensure unified execution.
Program design & overview: Build comprehensive project and program overviews, including business cases, implementation roadmaps, resource plans, and risk assessments.
Leadership & influence: Act as a central driver of progress, removing roadblocks, managing stakeholders, and maintaining accountability without direct authority.
Executive communication: Prepare and present concise updates, strategic briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Continuous improvement: Analyze past project performance and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, scalability, and execution quality.
Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short‑term incentive compensation opportunities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
7+ years of project or program management experience, ideally in business development, corporate strategy, or a related function.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑departmental projects with a track record of successful outcomes.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Experience in high‑growth or transformation environments.
Background in consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic planning is a bonus.
