Raytheon is looking for an experienced engineer to serve as the GLOBUS Sustainment Program Lead Systems Engineer (LSE). In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for helping to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify that the solutions are implemented as designed. The successful candidate will interface directly with the Chief Engineer, IPT Leads, Program Manager, other discipline leads, and external customer to ensure technical, schedule, and cost success of program products. The candidate will be responsible for leading the technical execution of all Systems Engineering scope including capability development, defect identification and root cause analysis, technical program reviews, and development of the team’s technical bench strength.
What You Will Do
Developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related integration and test of phased array radars/electronics.
Provide technical leadership and oversight of all Systems Engineering work within the GLOBUS contract, working with representatives from Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, IPT/CPT. Leadership, and Program Office to meet schedule and technical requirements.
Facilitate the technical development of Systems Engineering personnel to ensure the SE CPT has the skillset to execute new and existing scope.
Manage and influence customer expectations through timely and accurate communication, and advocate for most effective user solutions and capabilities.
Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces. Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
Statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
Work with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Life Cycle and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions.
Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers.
Working with minimal direction or supervision, while exercising considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives of the assignment while meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product.
Interacting frequently with senior personnel, including external customers, on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Travel as needed domestically and internationally (up to 20%) to support site integration efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience defining and driving technical execution plans.
Experience as a leader of Systems Engineering teams.
Experience working with other disciplines in achieving program success.
Experience managing multiple priorities in a complex environment.
Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
Experience communicating solutions and results to teammates, leadership and customers.
An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Advanced degree is preferred.
Professional experience in aerospace/defense industry with emphasis on missile defense and ground based sensors.
Experience leading failure investigation teams to root cause determination. Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures.
Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments.
Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++.
Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS.
Experience in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics.
Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
Import/Export knowledge and/or experience.
Interfacing with supplier/vendors providing module requirements/specification to support subsystem designs.
Knowledge and familiarity with cybersecurity standards and practices.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Experience with hardware obsolesces and their systems design/architecture impacts.

Salary range: $124,000 - $250,000 USD.
