Senior Tax Manager

Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
We’re a long‑standing accounting and advisory firm providing comprehensive tax, audit, and consulting services to individuals and businesses across the U.S. and abroad. We are seeking a highly experienced tax professional to lead and manage multiple engagements within our tax practice. The role requires a strong tax background and a passion for mentoring and developing junior staff, ensuring the team delivers top‑quality work while growing professionally. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in both compliance and advisory, capable of providing guidance to clients and leadership to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage tax engagements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Oversee preparation and review of tax returns, including multi‑state filings, for Individuals, Partnerships/Corporations, Trusts/Estates
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, offering actionable recommendations
Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment
Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services
Research, interpret, and apply tax laws to deliver accurate and strategic guidance
Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university
Master’s degree a plus
CPA certification required
5+ years of tax experience, including both compliance and planning within public accounting
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
Proven ability to manage teams, mentor staff, and oversee multiple client engagements
