Tax Manager Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning for our clients. This role involves collaborating with the audit and public accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and to provide strategic tax advice that aligns with our clients' business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for clients.
- Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on tax strategies and compliance matters.
- Coordinate with audit teams to ensure that tax implications are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Review and approve tax provisions and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
- Guide and mentor junior staff in tax matters and provide training as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax software and CCH Axcess preferred.
- Audit/Attestation experience required.
