Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Assistant Chief Engineer at Lake Lawn Resort, located in Delavan, WI. The Assistant Chief Engineer will oversee day‑to‑day maintenance and repair operations to ensure the resort’s facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition. Responsibilities include supervising the maintenance team, conducting inspections, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role requires collaboration with other departments to address maintenance concerns and optimize guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Proficiency in mechanical repairs, electrical systems, HVAC maintenance, and plumbing
Ability to manage preventative maintenance programs and safety standards compliance
Strong leadership, team management, and problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and operational efficiency optimization
Effective communication skills for collaborating with various departments and providing guidance to the maintenance team
Previous experience in engineering or maintenance roles within hospitality, facilities management, or a similar industry
Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
Education or certifications in facilities management, engineering, or related fields are a plus
A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑functioning resort environment
