Director of Nursing (DON) Opportunity Responsibilities Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273‑bed acute care facility providing top quality and safe healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities since 1917. The Nursing Director of Behavioral Health Services is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the education, training, orientation, development, and retention of nursing associates. Responsibilities also include analyzing and developing programs or initiatives to improve quality of patient care and physician relations, ensuring regulatory compliance and oversight, and serving as leader and mentor for associates. The director has direct oversight for psychiatric nursing at Aurora Pavilion and leads a team within a highly autonomous, evidence‑based, collaborative environment.

Qualifications Education : Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN Program. Master’s degree in Nursing required with specialization in behavioral health; behavioral health experience can substitute for specialization within master’s degree.

Experience : Minimum of 5 years healthcare experience, nursing preferred; Minimum of 5 years management preferred.

License or Registration Requirements : Current South Carolina Nursing License and current CPR certification.
