Director of Nursing (DON) – Behavioral Health Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273‑bed acute care facility that has been serving the community since 1917.

In addition to acute medical care, the campus offers behavioral health services through the Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health program.

The Director of Nursing will lead all nursing activities for this behavioral health division.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and coordinate education, training, orientation, development, and retention of nursing associates.

Analyze and develop quality‑improvement programs and initiatives to enhance patient care and physician relations.

Ensure regulatory compliance, nursing documentation, and oversight of all psychiatric nursing operations at Aurora Pavilion.

Act as a leader and mentor for nursing staff, providing direct oversight and coaching.

Collaborate with the Nursing Council and other leadership teams to promote shared governance and evidence‑based practice.

Qualifications

Education : Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. Master's degree in Nursing required, with a specialization in behavioral health; clinical behavioral‑health experience may substitute for the specialization.

Experience : Minimum of 5 years in healthcare (nursing preferred) and 5 years in management roles.

License and Certification : Current South Carolina Nursing License and CPR certification.
