Overview The Project Manager leads on‑site direction for all aspects of construction on assigned projects, focusing on healthcare. The role includes project planning, scheduling, cost management, resource allocation, accounting, quality assurance, and compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager also develops project staff and ensures client expectations are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities
Supervise Quality Managers, Office Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Assistant Administrative Assistants
Ensure projects are staffed correctly
Plan and hold estimating hand‑off meeting
Plan and hold project kick‑off meeting
Assure that project planning meetings are held
Assure that pre‑planning processes are followed
Assist the project team with the project risk management strategy
Analyze and write subcontracts
Create subcontractor bid tabs
Initiate pre‑qualifications of potential subs
Review with Superintendent all purchases for material, rental equipment, and forming systems
Prepare and submit proposed changes to the Owner
Chair weekly project meetings
Prepare monthly billing to the Owner
Maintain proposed changes
Monitor progress and maintain project schedule
Expedite material deliveries
Review monthly job cost reports and prepare forecasts
Monitor the safety program
Responsible for project closeout including preparation of all warranties, as‑built drawings, and maintenance manuals
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
5‑10+ years of experience in commercial construction with proven experience in healthcare construction
Strong knowledge of regulations, codes, and best practices for inpatient acute care hospital projects
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
