Qualifications
Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport
Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
Assesses students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice
Provides determining game strategy
Follows established procedures in the event of an injury
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators
Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security
Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach
Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times
Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies
Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records
Models non discriminatory practices in all activities
Must complete SafeSchools and FinalForms training prior to the beginning of the sport's season
Qualifications / Education and/or Experience
Must complete my247 and all WIAA trainings through FinalForms and SafeSchools through the district prior to the beginning of the sport's season
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High School diploma or GED
Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age
Previous Coaching experience required
Reasoning ability
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CPR/First Aid card
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules. Ability to speak effectively to administration, staff, students and parents.
Other Skills And Abilities
Skills in reading, understanding and following safety rules and regulations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with students and staff.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of District requirements and Board policies.
Ability to work independently and to communicate proactively

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Work is predominantly in outdoor stadium, athletic rooms and gyms. Temperature – normal climate. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Travel Requirements
Travels to other school district buildings as required.
