FT ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) $5,000 Bonus!!!!!
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) develops departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The ADON functions in an advisory capacity to Administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery.
The ADON is responsible for the coordination of interdisciplinary care delivered to patients on patient care units. The ADON monitors overall functioning of the unit, initiates problem‑solving activities when necessary, and collaborates with non‑nursing team members, such as housekeeping, maintenance, business office, and dietician, to address concerns. The ADON ensures that best‑practice standards are adhered to at all times and acts as the DON designee as appointed by the DON.
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or BS preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of recent psychiatric experience. Recent management/administrative experience preferred.
Age‑Specific Competencies:
Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric care.
Licensure/Certification:
Current FL RN license or license from a compact state required; CPR certification required; Handle with Care certification required.
