FT ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) $5,000 Bonus
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The ADON functions in an advisory capacity to Administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery. The ADON is responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary care delivered to patients on patient care units and for monitoring the overall functioning of the unit. The ADON initiates problem‑solving activities when necessary, collaborates with House Supervisors and nursing staff to adhere to best practice standards, and serves as the DON designee as appointed by the DON.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or BS preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent psychiatric experience; recent management/administrative experience preferred.
Age‑specific competencies: child, adolescent, adult and geriatric care.
Current Florida RN license or license from a compact state; CPR certification required; Handle with Care certification required.
