Overview ABA Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Verbal Beginnings, a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. Extensive training is provided to anyone interested in ABA therapy and autism, and we are passionate about working with children.
Schedule, Location and Compensation
When: Sessions 5 days per week, 2 hours each, after school hours 4pm-6:30pm (10 hours total)
Where: Sessions occur in the child’s natural environment
Compensation: $20.00 – $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications

Responsibilities What does my day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Implement individualized treatment plans under direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills.
Collect and record data to monitor progress, and collaborate with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary.
Qualifications Attributes and qualifications needed to be successful in this role
Patience, compassion and desire to help children with autism achieve their goals
Genuine interest in learning about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree (completed or in progress) preferred
Experience working with children
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Completion of the 40‑Hour RBT course or proof of completion; Verbal Beginnings will provide the course to those who need it.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to perform activities such as reaching, grasping, walking briskly or running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, ascending and descending stairs, and transitioning quickly between standing, sitting, and other positions.
Effective verbal communication and maintaining attention through verbal and non‑verbal communication.
Must be able to independently operate a vehicle to travel to and from a client’s location.
