Primary Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location & Onsite Flexibility: Houston, TX — Hybrid (Part-Time Telework), Minimum three (3) days per week onsite

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $59.35 – $77.03/hr
Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design, development, and material requisitions for complex industrial projects. This role serves as the primary electrical design interface with clients, resolving advanced technical challenges and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. This position supports large‑scale Manufacturing & Technology projects, including next‑generation AI data center initiatives. U.S. Citizenship Required.
Major Responsibilities
Evaluate, select, and apply electrical engineering methods, standards, and procedures
Prepare original design layouts, drawings, specifications, and documentation
Design and evaluate systems for power generation, transmission, distribution, and storage
Support conceptual studies, technical reports, and project proposals
Coordinate electrical engineering efforts with multi‑discipline teams, vendors, contractors, and clients
Provide technical guidance to other electrical engineers when delegated
Resolve complex regulatory and compliance issues with customers and authorities
Support project and construction teams with electrical execution requirements
Mentor and support junior electrical engineers
Complete installation and maintenance documentation
Select electrical components and equipment based on specifications, performance, and reliability
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent)
5–8 years (Level I) or 8–10 years (Level II) of relevant experience
Strong knowledge and application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE standards
Experience as electrical responsible engineer for medium‑to‑large material requisitions (transformers, switchgear, substations, UPS systems, bulk materials)
Knowledge of medium voltage (34.5kV / 13.8kV) and low voltage (480V, 208/120V) systems
Experience with power system one‑lines, schematics, and connection diagrams
Electrical raceway design including grounding, lightning protection, lighting, and communications
Strong ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines
Preferred Skills
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license — Electrical (Power)
Prior experience on medium‑to‑large industrial projects (Data Center experience preferred)
Experience coordinating design with multi‑office EPC teams (India collaboration preferred)
