Pediatric Home Infusion RN
Johns Hopkins Medicine – Pediatric Home Care program in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
About the role:
Provide, coordinate, teach, and/or supervise at‑home care for pediatric patients in their homes.
Implement and develop patient care plans under physician orders.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled evaluation, treatment, and care for pediatric patients (newborns through young adults) in accordance with Maryland and D.C. nursing scope of practice.
Apply principles of teaching and learning to patients and caregivers with varied abilities and learning needs.
Organize work tasks and meet time requirements.
Care for and maintain central venous access devices (CVAD) including sterile technique, accessing ports, and removal of PICCs.
Place peripheral catheters (PIVs) in pediatric patients.
Learn and use new technologies and computer programs quickly.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience in acute pediatric care (critical care or ED preferred).
Administer high‑tech infusions (biologics, immunotherapy, or chemotherapy).
Experience with high‑tech infusion devices.
Strong communication and teaching abilities.
Compensation:
Minimum $36.31/hour – maximum $56.28/hour plus benefits.
