Position Summary The Clinical Supervisor/Team Leader oversees all aspects of an interdisciplinary community‑based behavioral health team, delivering outpatient and school‑based services. The role includes hiring, orientation, clinical supervision, performance management, team facilitation, documentation oversight, utilization review, crisis response, and 24/7 rotating on‑call support. The supervisor may also provide direct clinical care as needed and collaborates with the Program Director to ensure regulatory compliance and program quality.
Supervisory / Administrative Functions
Lead interdisciplinary CBHI team of clinicians, therapeutic mentors, and interns
Supervise in‑home therapy and mentoring services
Provide performance management and evaluation
Conduct hiring, interviewing, orientation, and training
Facilitate team meetings and trainings
Oversee records management, utilization review, and documentation oversight
Offer 24‑hour on‑call rotation and consultation
Provide backup support to clients when staff or interns are unavailable
Assist other supervisors and the Program Director with oversight of services and agency requirements
Assume leadership in the absence of the Program Director
Support program goal implementation and policy development with the director
Represent the program at meetings with funders and community providers
Clinical / Direct Services
Provide direct clinical services for a small number of outpatient, school‑based, group, or in‑home clients as needed
Cover on‑call assignments
Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and Licensure Required
Master‑level degree: MSW, MS, MA (counseling, psychology, mental health counseling, family therapy)
Independent Licensed (LICSW or LMHC)
Experience
Work with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs and their families
Experience in community‑based mental health (CBHI services)
Skill in strength‑based assessment and treatment planning based on clinical formulation and collateral systems
Demonstrated teamwork within a structured environment
Creativity, cultural curiosity, and flexibility in diverse family and community settings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience supervising clinical staff and/or interns
Skills and Abilities
Reliable transportation and proof of valid vehicle registration, insurance, and driver’s license
Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged (not required)
Supervision Received: Program Director or designee
Supervision Exercised: Supervise CBHI staff, outpatient clinicians, and clinical interns as assigned
