Professor Term (Open Rank) – Comprehensive Dentistry
The Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for a full‑time Professor (Open Rank) Term position. The successful applicant will join a department committed to a high‑quality educational program.
Responsibilities
Support the GPR Director in recruitment, training, and supervision of postgraduate students.
Assist in program administration, curriculum development, implementation, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) in resident performance and faculty teaching proficiency.
Oversee off‑site rotations, maintain records related to the educational program, and manage resident selection.
Ensure program compliance with ULH and ULSD policies and provide feedback on program progress.
Teach both didactic and clinical coursework and provide clinical supervision of GPR residents.
Based on departmental needs, provide didactic and clinical instruction to undergraduate (DMD) students.
Participate in scholarship and service activities.
Minimum Qualifications
DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree; eligible for licensure in Kentucky.
Completion of General Practice Residency (GPR) Program or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD).
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certified to provide IV conscious sedation (or willingness to pursue training).
Experience providing dental care within a hospital operating room.
Demonstrated clinical excellence through previous work.
