Position Details:
General Notes: This position is a fixed term from August 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026, with possibility of renewal for one additional year depending on funding and workload. Must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Purpose:
Provide the support students in Title One high schools require to navigate college admissions, matriculation, and financial aid.
Responsibilities
Provide one‑on‑one admissions and financial aid advice to students or families.
Organize group sessions encouraging students and families to plan, apply, and enroll in colleges.
Establish productive working relationships with principals, counselors, and teachers.
Assist other Advise Texas Advisors within the service area.
Maintain expertise in admissions and financial‑aid planning.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree within the last year. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Professional demeanor and appearance.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with high school or college level students. Bilingual‑Spanish. Experience with public speaking and preparation of presentations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Salary Range $33,818
Working Conditions
May work in extreme temperatures.
May work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Use of manual dexterity.
Lifting and moving.
Work Shift
Occasional evenings and weekends required for programs and events.
Occasional travel may be required.
