Project Engineer IV – High Voltage Distribution (HVD) Lines Engineering Preferred location:

Role Overview The Project Engineer IV will support the HVD Lines Engineering team and consulted design work. Due to a significant increase in spend within the High Voltage Distribution (HVD) Lines Reliability budget, there is a corresponding increase in engineering and design projects. This role is critical to ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while meeting quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, review, and manage engineering design plans for HVD Lines Reliability projects

Coordinate and support consulted/contracted design work

Review, validate, and approve invoices related to contracted engineering and design services

Track, monitor, and report project metrics, including:

Budget and cost control

Quality and performance KPIs

Manage and process change orders, ensuring proper documentation, justification, and approvals

Oversee permit management to ensure compliance with regulatory and jurisdictional requirements

Respond to and resolve field questions and technical issues to support construction and execution

Ensure AFC (Approved for Construction) drawings and documents are properly controlled and maintained through Document Control processes

Collaborate with internal stakeholders including engineering, construction, project controls, and field teams

Promote and enforce safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices across all assigned projects

Required Qualifications & Skills

Strong knowledge of project management principles and engineering design processes

Experience supporting high-voltage distribution or utility infrastructure projects

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams

High attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting discipline
