CNC Programmer / Machinist (Part-Time)

About the Company We are a small but growing fabrication shop creating custom pieces for the entertainment industry. Our projects include set pieces, signage, sculptures, and specialty builds. If it can be imagined, we help bring it to life. We are looking for a dedicated CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team and operate our 3‑axis CNC machines.
Role Overview As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will be responsible for converting project files into CNC cut files using CAM software, setting up machines, and operating CNC equipment to produce parts from start to finish. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working in a creative, small‑shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Create and edit CNC programs using CAM software and/or G‑code
Set up CNC machines, including tooling and basic fixturing
Operate CNC routers to produce parts to specification
Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or setup adjustments
Inspect parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Assist with general shop tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist and/or programmer (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
Experience programming and machining simple to moderately complex parts
Familiarity with CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred)
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and measurements
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and reliability
