Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) /ATLaS Systems Engineer (Senior)
Sabre Systems, LLC is recruiting a part‑time (20 hours/week) Systems Engineer for the Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) / ATLaS program at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Lexington Park, MD.
Location On‑Site at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Lexington Park, MD.
Job Summary This role will support the Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office (PMA-205) and involves contributing to the development of a next‑generation secure Live‑Virtual‑Constructive (LVC) air combat training system.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead programmatic or technical initiatives, identifying, formulating, designing, and testing solutions to engineering problems.
Apply systems engineering methods and tools to develop advanced complex systems.
Assist with the LVC architecture and address emerging technical and architectural questions regarding Live (aircraft) – Virtual (simulations) – Constructive (synthetic threat) elements.
Establish configuration‑control processes for interfaces between the TCTS II ground system and weapons models/constructive entity‑generating software systems, and between the TCTS II system and the aircraft.
Plan for and implement the PMA-205 portions of the LVC Capabilities Requirements Document (CRD).
Guides the engineering development of modern complex systems.
Qualifications
Technical or Scientific MS or MA from an accredited college or university.
Technical or Scientific BS or BA plus at least four (4) additional years of recent, relevant experience.
Minimum ten (10) years of recent, relevant engineering experience, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
Demonstrated experience in a specific engineering expertise area.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Clear communication and teamwork skills.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility a plus.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Compensation General salary range: $71.31 – $79.04 per hour, based on location, qualifications, experience, and contract terms.
