Project Architect (Senior Level) – Pensacola, FL

ASAP is hiring on behalf of our client for a
direct hire Project Architect
to support a growing architecture and engineering practice in
Pensacola, FL . This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, licensed architect who enjoys leading projects from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a high‑quality, design‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, from programming and conceptual design through construction administration
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
Coordinate and integrate work across multiple disciplines to ensure design intent and project goals are met
Direct the development of construction documents using
Revit
Prepare and review project deliverables, ensuring quality control and compliance with applicable codes and standards
Mentor and support junior architectural staff with guidance, oversight, and technical expertise
Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction observation
Respond to RFIs and submittals and review shop drawings during the construction phase
Participate in permitting processes, consultant coordination, and preparation of project manuals and specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
8+ years of professional architectural experience , including demonstrated project leadership and management responsibilities
Strong working knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards
Proficiency in Revit is required ; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Registered Architect in Florida
or eligible to obtain Florida licensure
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Local to the Pensacola, FL area or willing to relocate
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits as needed
