About You and the Role We're looking for a Service Coordinator to lead and grow our residential and light commercial service department. You'll own the day-to-day operations from scheduling and technician leadership to customer communication and profitability while bringing strong organization, accountability, and hands‑on roofing knowledge. This role thrives on solving problems on the fly, juggling competing priorities, adapting when plans change, and keeping things moving when the unexpected happens.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team
– Schedule, support, and hold service technicians accountable while maintaining safety standards and company protocols
Manage workflow strategically
– Triage incoming service requests, prioritize effectively, and keep jobs moving from intake through invoicing
Ensure quality and completion
– Scope jobs accurately, price appropriately, track progress with photos and documentation, and close out completely
Communicate with clarity
– Keep customers informed before, during, and after service while coordinating seamlessly with office staff, sales, and production teams
Coordinate resources efficiently
– Match the right materials, equipment, and labor to each job without delays or waste
Drive performance metrics
– Monitor and improve response times, close rates, and profit margins across the service department
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in
service management
Strong leadership and team‑management skills
Excellent communication and customer‑service ability
Highly organized and detail‑oriented
Proven ability to problem‑solve and manage moving parts in a changing environment
Proficient at using technology (CRM, scheduling software, photos, email)
