Material Handler
Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large‑scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. Position Summary Position is 100% on‑site in Winchester, Kentucky. Work hours: Monday‑Friday, 6 AM‑2:30 PM. The Material Handler supports and maintains all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and equipment maintenance; controls material movement and storage; and coordinates raw‑material deliveries and finished‑goods handling.
Key Responsibilities
Operate all equipment related to warehouse activities – propane, electric‑powered industrial forklifts (stand‑up or sit‑down), pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, and other material handling devices.
Complete production material request and pick‑list forms accurately and within 90 minutes of receipt of request.
Distribute and store material (finished good, work in process, raw material) in accordance with company guidelines.
Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures related to warehouse operation and site safety.
Record material transactions in JD Edwards 9.1 to verify quantity, expiration date, location, and status.
Return materials from production to the proper location before shift end to ensure accuracy and availability for the next manufacturing campaign.
Operate stretch wrap machine and secure pallet loads.
Load/unload all trailer loads employing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment – e‑powered forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, turret trucks.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; visual acuity sufficient to read written documents.
