Base pay range
$125,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Provide tax compliance, planning and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Review client tax returns and prepare complex returns including Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065 and 709. Gather information necessary for preparing tax returns and review returns assigned before final review by a partner. Proactively identify client needs and issues and follow through to implementation. Maintain and strengthen client relationships. Advise clients and deliver high quality tax service and advice. Supervise, develop, and train tax staff. Review and supervise tax preparation of various income tax returns. Represent clients before federal, state, and local tax authorities during examinations of a client’s tax return. Respond to tax notices in a clear, concise, and effective manner. Perform research including CCH, BNA, and RIA. Requirements
BA/BS degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or MS degree in Taxation. CPA preferred. 7+ years of tax experience in a small to medium accounting firm. Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams. Solid working experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Engagement. Thorough knowledge of IRS code and regulations and the tax laws and regulations of various state and local governments. Solid understanding of the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA. Experience handling indirect tax issues, regulations, disputes, audits, and rulings. Excellent advisory, compliance, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent research skills. Proficiency in preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and other returns prepared by the firm. Demonstrated ability to multitask and openness to work on a variety of assignments. Prior supervisory experience preferred. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
