Role Summary As a Shipping Clerk, you will ensure the on‑time flow of goods and materials from Production Operations to our customers. You will provide documentation and communication to our carriers and export partners to ensure product arrives on time.
Responsibilities
Create, update, and process paper and online shipping orders for domestic and international suppliers and customers.
Ensure daily shipments are correctly prepared and generate all required documentation, including Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and SLI’s.
Prepare all documentation for small‑package shipments following UPS/FedEx procedures.
Coordinate pickups, track shipments, and troubleshoot issues by communicating with suppliers and shipping companies via email or phone.
Coordinate with Project Managers to resolve any shipping concerns.
Store materials on stockroom shelves and in bins while keeping the area clean and organized.
Perform stockroom tasks such as accurate and timely order picking and cycle counting.
Conduct periodic inventory reviews to verify warehouse balances.
Maintain organized, up‑to‑date paper files for quick document retrieval.
Work as a collaborative team member and independently, demonstrating strong initiative and self‑management.
Follow detailed procedures in sequence, accurately and consistently.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Forklift experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access).
May need to lift or push up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma or GED.
3–5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred
Export compliance experience.
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Basic knowledge of warehouse management.
Experience with online carrier systems such as FedEx and UPS.
