Base pay range $20.00/hr – $30.00/hr
Job Summary The Equipment Maintenance Technician will support daily facility and equipment repair and maintenance operations in our precision sheet metal manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring production equipment and building systems are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, a proactive attitude, and experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Equipment Maintenance – Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems (e.g., CNC machines, laser cutters, press brakes, welders, HVAC, air compressors, lighting, plumbing, etc.).
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize production downtime.
Monitor and maintain building infrastructure, including doors, lighting, restrooms, and general repairs.
Support installation and relocation of production equipment and facility upgrades as directed.
Work Order Management – Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and prioritize tasks based on production needs; record maintenance activities accurately and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
Safety & Compliance – Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations; identify hazards, report unsafe conditions, maintain MSDS and hazardous materials handling procedures.
Team Support – Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams; assist in projects such as equipment moves, renovations, or repairs; provide support to external contractors when required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience – 2+ years of experience in facilities or equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment; high school diploma or GED required; technical training or vocational certification preferred.
Technical Skills – Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in a production setting; familiarity with precision metal fabrication equipment and OSHA standards.
Competencies – Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ability to read blueprints and schematics, basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, maintenance software), strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, independent or team work.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements – Perform tasks in office, production floor, and outside environments; lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces; stand or walk for extended periods; collaborate with teams.
Schedule – 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday (some flexibility may be required).
Compensation – Hourly range: $20–30 per hour; benefits include shared‑cost health care, paid holidays, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match.
