Position Summary
Walmart is hiring a (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance for our local and regional team. The role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.
Base Pay Range $19.00/hr – $35.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Position Requirements
18 years or older
High‑school diploma or equivalent
Can lift up to 50 lbs. and move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Able to work in various temperatures
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and a passing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade
Minimum Qualifications
Vocational or technical certification and 3 years experience, or 5 years experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
Valid driver’s license.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Intermediate level proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
