Position Summary
General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart (USA)
Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. If you have experience in this field, bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Position Requirements
18 years or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Can lift up to 50 lbs and move up and down ladders frequently.
Comfortable working at heights and able to sit or stand for long periods.
Able to work in various temperatures and hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
Minimum Qualifications
Vocational or technical certification and 3 years experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Valid driver’s license.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
License in related trade in the city/state where the job is located.
Proficiency with intermediate level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
