About The Role As a Shipper at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Kansas City, MO, you will be responsible for picking, packing, staging and loading steel tube and pipe while following established procedures and quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced with warehouse equipment in a fast‑paced shipping environment.

Pay:

$17.79–$28.37 USD

What You’ll Do

Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.

Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams to support on‑time delivery.

Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.

Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.

Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials while reporting any damages.

Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.

Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks and walk‑by pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.

Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Maintain regular, full‑time onsite attendance.

Who You Are

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training preferred.

2+ years of warehouse experience preferred, ideally in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic math skills for accurate order processing.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Problem‑solving ability to address warehouse challenges.

High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.

Physical Abilities

Ability to lift, move, and handle steel materials in a warehouse environment.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
