About The Role As a Warehouse Operator at

Wheatland Tube , a division of

Zekelman Industries , Auburn, WA, you will play a key role in supporting warehouse and distribution operations by accurately picking, packing, loading, and shipping steel tube and pipe products. This role is responsible for ensuring materials move efficiently through the facility while meeting quality, safety, and customer requirements. It is ideal for someone who is safety‑focused, detail‑oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on warehouse environment.

What You’ll Do

Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.

Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.

Pick, pack, and stage orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.

Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.

Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages.

Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.

Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.

Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain regular, full‑time predictable onsite attendance.

Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.

Basic math skills for accurate order processing.

Experience using scanning tools and inventory systems to verify order accuracy.

Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Problem‑solving ability to address warehouse challenges.

High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.

Physical Abilities

Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required for shipping and receiving tasks.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off equipment throughout the shift.

Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment with moving equipment and materials.

Ability to work scheduled and mandatory overtime as needed.
