Job Summary Industrial Maintenance Mechanic maintains and repairs equipment, ensures safe operation of all tools and equipment, and performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Essential Duties
Carry out repairs according to work orders with specification for terms and quality.
Document all information regarding repairs carried out (equipment history).
Assist in preparation of work steps, tolerances, spare parts, tools, and auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and complete shift inspection.
Perform tasks including bearing replacement, welding, cutting, rigging, kiln roll adjustments, hydraulics, plumbing and fitting, lubrication, fabrication, pneumatics, and measurements.
Understand technical specifications for equipment installation and operation: clearance checks, interference fits, lubrication, torque requirements.
Inspect and maintain mobile equipment used for daily operations.
Report deviations from standards or maintenance problems to foreman.
Request and charge parts or materials from the stockroom as needed.
Ensure quality of work and safe operation of all tools and equipment under your control.
Maintain good housekeeping and safety inspection of the work area.
Observe all state and federal regulations when performing duties.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience.
Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Ability to work in inclement weather, heights, confined spaces, and lift 100 lbs.
