Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager – Indirect Services
Position Summary The Strategic Sourcing Manager – Indirect Services is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories, including but not limited to professional services, IT, facilities, marketing, HR, and travel. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to drive cost savings, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and value creation while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect services categories to achieve cost optimization, quality, and service improvements
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including spend analysis, market research, RFP/RFQ development, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT, HR, Facilities, Marketing) to understand business requirements and align sourcing strategies
Negotiate complex contracts and statements of work (SOWs), ensuring favorable commercial terms, service levels, and risk mitigation
Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive supplier consolidation and rationalization where appropriate to increase efficiency and leverage spend
Monitor supplier performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations
Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and value‑added benefits to leadership
Stay informed on market trends, emerging suppliers, and best practices within indirect services procurement
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, with a focus on indirect services
Proven experience leading sourcing projects and negotiating contracts for professional or indirect services
Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis and financial modeling
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
