Shipping and Recv Clerk (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Location: Dallas‑Fort Worth Metroplex

Salary: $16.00–$18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Adhere to all health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required PPE while in the warehouse or production areas.

Maintain rigor around food quality and food safety per corporate, customer, and governing standards (e.g., SQF).

Check in carrier drivers, assign dock doors, dispatch and coordinate yard trailer moves.

Maintain accurate records of all loaded/drop trailers in the yard, conduct yard checks, and issue daily status updates to required departments; process appropriate paperwork.

Perform shipping/receiving administrative duties (filing, report preparation, clerical tasks).

Coordinate raw‑material deliveries for production, verify against packing lists and COAs.

Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure adequate product availability for required ship dates.

Perform daily verification of raw materials, concentrates, ingredients, packaging materials, and pallets to support the upcoming production schedule.

Coordinate dunnage and recycling inbound and DOMR or raw‑material loads, ensuring efficient loading of dunnage trailers.

PGI finished‑good shipments when they ship and send necessary paperwork (e.g., Bill of Lading or STOs) to co‑pack plants.

Prepare Bill of Lading or customs information, and complete post‑goods‑issue transaction in SAP.

Using the dock schedule, verify carrier appointments and reschedule no‑shows.

Perform daily cycle counts and recounts on raw materials as directed; work with Inventory Control personnel as needed.

Review delivery documentation, document and follow up on short or inaccurate deliveries, and notify management of inventory discrepancies.

Ship lab samples or other packages (nationally/internationally) via courier service.

Check seals, locks, and potential damage on trailers; gather information from forklift and carrier drivers.

Release carrier drivers after loading/unloading and report issues.

Monitor shipments, coordinate deliveries, issue shipping instructions, trace and expedite shipments.

Verify forklift operator completion before producing required paperwork at load completion.

Coordinate product transport between internal warehouses or to off‑site/3rd‑party warehouses.

Verify pallet counts and types (Peco, Chep, GMA) and adjust counts in SAP if needed.

Reconcile invoices to purchase orders in SAP OpenText.

Maintain clean and orderly receiving docks and raw‑material storage areas.

Track and communicate door service status; liaise with Manager/Maintenance for repairs.

Assist with dispatching and billing duties as needed.

Represent the company professionally and harmoniously.

Required Skills

Proficiency with Warehouse Management System and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Confident computer skills and ability to navigate internet and customer portals.

Knowledge of HAZMAT material shipping requirements.

Knowledge of DOT specifications for loads, loading patterns, and overweight loads.

Valid forklift certification from a Refresco‑approved trainer.

Ability to multi‑task.

Education and Experience

Minimum: High School diploma or GED; Associate degree or higher preferred.

Minimum 2 years warehouse shipping and receiving experience; experience in Inventory Control or Customer Service is a plus; Food/Beverage Manufacturing preferred.

Proficiency with SAP: Supply Chain Dynamic Menu/Dock Scheduling/PGI Reporting/Receiving functions.

Working Conditions

Work schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays may be required; overtime scheduled as needed.

Environment: Fast‑paced production plant with high truck volume in the yard; noise level requires hearing protection; temperatures can be very hot or relatively cold. Structured and supervised.

Visual/Sensory: Position requires moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.

Mental stress: Pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, and similar demands.
