Min T/E Requirements: Master’s Degree and two years of experience working with college students.
Extra Responsibilities: Communicate with diverse audiences, build relationships, reach targeted student population, outreach into medical setting, navigate internal expectations, demonstrate administrative experience including supervision and fiscal responsibility.

Primary Purpose: Inform, recruit, and facilitate students interested in healthcare careers.
Primary Purpose of Position The Health Careers Access Program (HCAP) Coordinator serves as a vital resource for students interested in pursuing health professions. The coordinator recruits students both on and off campus into various early assurance opportunities, serves as advisor for students seeking health professions, supports students applying for admission to programs, coordinates the UNCP Clinical Health Summer Programs maintaining relationships with recruiters and healthcare practitioners, serves as advisor to the Health Careers Club, and manages one administrative assistant and student assistants, among other marketing and administrative duties.
Job Description / Responsibilities The Health Careers Access Program (HCAP) Coordinator serves as a vital resource for students interested in pursuing health professions. The coordinator recruits students both on and off campus into various early assurance opportunities, serves as advisor for students seeking health professions, supports students applying for admission to programs, coordinates the UNCP Clinical Health Summer Programs maintaining relationships with recruiters and healthcare practitioners, serves as advisor to the Health Careers Club, and manages one administrative assistant and student assistants, among other marketing and administrative duties.
Management Preference and Qualifications 3 years of student advising experience. Familiarity with southeastern NC. Extensive knowledge of healthcare professions and admissions. Semifinalists will be asked to submit unofficial transcripts; official transcripts required for hire. Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until filled.
Legal & Background Information This position is subject to a successful completion of an employment background check, including criminal background, employment verification, reference checks, license verification (if applicable), and credit history check (if applicable). In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. New employees are paid only by direct deposit to the financial institution of their choice. Candidates claiming Veterans Preference must attach a copy of their DD‑214 as part of the online application process.
