About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in aerospace component manufacturing, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Buyer to join their team. This individual will serve as a procurement subject matter expert, managing the purchase of complex materials, components, equipment, and services that support manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement efforts for assigned materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
Solicit quotations, evaluate bids, and negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams (Engineering, Planning, Production, etc.) to meet program requirements and resolve material issues.
Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy, clarifying details as needed with internal stakeholders.
Ensure timely placement and management of purchase orders to avoid shortages and production delays.
Evaluate supplier performance and identify new sources as needed; initiate supplier visits and manage relationships.
Monitor supplier delivery performance and work closely with vendors to process rejections, resolve discrepancies, and improve service levels.
Maintain accurate purchasing and planning data in ERP systems (lead times, order minimums, supplier info, etc.).
Support continuous improvement initiatives through cost savings, process optimization, and risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and export control regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field – or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of procurement, materials planning, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (required).
Experience with machined and electronic components preferred.
Familiarity with ISO and/or AS9100 quality standards a plus.
U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency required due to access to export‑controlled technology.

Pay Details $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
