Position Summary This Market Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with TJC, state, and federal standards for Meadowview Regional Medical Center and Fleming County Hospital. The director oversees all regulatory surveys, including TJC, state licensing, and CMS validation; plans and implements performance improvement programs; and manages the organization’s comprehensive insurance and risk management program.

Essential Functions

Develops and implements departmental goals and standards consistent with organizational clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.

Directs and evaluates departmental operations—patient care delivery, IT services, service level determination, and complaint management—to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets; coordinates internal and external audits.

Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Integrates evidence‑based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Access to and works with sensitive and confidential information.

Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).

Skilled in application of policies and procedures; knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages the work of others—planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work; ensures quality standards.

Responsible for hiring, terminating, training, and developing staff; reviews performance and administers corrective action.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred; applicable work experience may substitute for education.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire date.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.

Registered Nurse with valid Kentucky RN license or compact state license.
