Job Duties
Design and develop applications to support and enhance technical capabilities for advisors and end‑clients.
Implement cloud‑based solutions using various technologies and tools.
Utilize modern development and deployment tools for efficient project execution.
Develop data solutions and manage data within financial domains.
Design core services and components, focusing on service‑oriented architecture and cloud migration.
Conduct code reviews and provide technology demonstrations, including AWS Cloud.
Collaborate with leaders from different departments to optimize project delivery and scale solutions on the Cloud.
Ensure the security and integrity of applications and data.
Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and issues.
Requirements Minimum Education and Experience Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in designing and developing high‑volume, distributed, low‑latency applications within a financial services environment.
Alternate Education and Experience:
Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in the same domain.
Special Skills
Expertise delivering high availability and performance using AWS, REST API, PostgreSQL, Kafka, MapR, Snowflake, OpenSearch, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CodeCommit, TeamCity, Dynatrace.
Building data stacks using MapR, PySpark, Scala, Tibco EMS, MuleSoft, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, MS SQL Server and related databases, following a test‑driven development approach.
Managing data using MDM solutions such as S&P Markit and Informatica MDM.
Coordinating solution designs with leaders from Architecture, Data, Infrastructure and Business teams to optimize speed to market using Team Foundation Server or Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, PyCharm, GIT, JIRA, Confluence and TeamCity or Octopus.
Translating business problem statements into technical solutions and planning sprints that deliver quality demonstrations.
Designing and developing microservices using REST, SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Swagger and Windows‑based services; developing technical documentation per SDLC guidelines.
