Job Summary We are a leading HVAC contractor serving South Florida’s commercial market and are looking for a proven hunter to drive new business and grow existing accounts. This is a true hybrid sales role: 60% new business development (cold outreach, networking, bid opportunities) and 40% account management/maintenance contracts. The focus is exclusively on commercial HVAC – office buildings, retail centers, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and schools.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and close new commercial HVAC projects (rooftop units, chillers, VRF systems, building automation, service agreements).
Identify and develop relationships with building owners, property managers, general contractors, and mechanical engineers.
Respond to RFPs, prepare bids, and present technical/commercial proposals.
Grow maintenance and service contract revenue from installed base.
Attend industry events, BOMA/IFMA meetings, and networking functions to build pipeline.
Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce) and weekly forecasting.
Achieve annual new sales quota and gross margin targets.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of documented commercial HVAC sales experience (rooftop replacements, chillers, large split systems, plan & spec, design-build).
Proven track record of closing $2M+ in annual commercial HVAC sales.
Existing relationships with South Florida commercial property owners, GCs, or engineers strongly preferred.
Technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and ability to read mechanical plans.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with strong sales history.
