PLEASE JOIN US AT OUR UPCOMING GWINNETT COUNTY POLICE OFFICER HIRING EVENT! Friday, February 6, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Gwinnett County Police Training Center 854 Winder Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30045 Event Details
This event is a special opportunity to complete the entire first phase of the two‑phase hiring process. Conditional job offers may be given event. Participants will complete an obstacle course, an orientation, a detailed application, and an oral interview. The event typically takes two to three hours. Bring water and a snack. Submit an application prior to attending. Once received, an investigator will call to set an appointment time. Applicants without an appointment are still welcome, although wait times will be longer. Attendance at both days is not required. Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. U.S. Citizen (eligible for Georgia P.O.S.T. certification) Valid Driver’s License from state of residency Minimum age 21 (20 at time of application) Successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation (criminal, controlled substance, driving, work history) and physical agility testing This job requires a pre‑employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol‑Free Workplace. Salary and Incentives
Base Salary: $55,923 $57,600 (includes 3% pay incentive for an Associate’s degree) $59,278 (includes 6% pay incentive for a Bachelor's degree) Hiring Incentive: $5,500 Night Shift Differential: 5% Employee Referral Program
