Job Summary The Department of History is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions to support the undergraduate program in teaching surveys of United States and World History for the 2025-2026 academic year. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in the Core IMPACTS areas (World History I and/or II and US History: A Comprehensive Survey).
Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in History or a closely related degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in History;
Classroom instruction experience in higher education
Preferred Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. in History
Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses
Required Documents to Attach A complete application consists of a letter addressing the qualifications cited above; a curriculum vitae; and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of at least three professional references. Other documentation including transcripts may be requested.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Consistently exhibit engaging customer service. Ability to support various constituencies served by the University. Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for the specific position.
Knowledge Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University’s mission for student success.
Skills Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills.
