Safety Manager – Plant

is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead health and safety efforts at a large production facility in Whitehall, MI. The position reports to the site EHS Manager and is accountable for driving safety across the plant.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
Lead a team of 3 Safety Specialists to support location leaders in executing safety accountabilities.
Coach and energize location leaders to deliver safety objectives and foster continuous improvement.
Mentor, develop and support EHS staff across the site.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Safety or Environmental from an accredited university program.
Minimum 5 years of progressive safety leadership experience, including staff management within manufacturing operations.
Highly preferred: OSHA experience.
Critical skills: execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, building ownership, commitment, developing others, drive for change, tenacity, and ability to gain organizational support.
