We combine advanced business management technology with personalized consulting to provide unmatched scale, efficiency, and support. Our advisor-focused culture is built on innovation and advocacy, enabling advisors to offer comprehensive securities and investment advisory solutions to their clients
Lead with Purpose. Partner with Impact.
At Kestra Financial, we don’t just process paperwork; we make account management seamless for the advisors we support. Our approach is people-first, tech-supported, and driven by purpose: to help advisors focus on their clients, not on navigating systems.
We’re seeking an Account Specialist I to join our Account Services team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining a wide variety of accounts and products, with a focus on both Advisory and non-Advisory brokerage accounts. You’ll use a range of tools and resources to ensure every account is accurate and compliant, all while delivering exceptional service to advisors and their teams.
What You’ll Do
Open and maintain a wide variety of Advisory and non-Advisory brokerage accounts using AdvisorComplete℠
Review new account submissions for accuracy and completeness, following up with representatives when paperwork is not in good order (NIGO)
Initiate and process incoming transfers, direct rollovers, and outgoing transfer requests
Add, remove, or update special account features (check writing, margin, periodic IRA distributions)
Process account updates such as name changes, SSN corrections, address changes, and suitability updates
Convert accounts between managed and non-managed platforms
Set up Systematic Withdrawal Plans (SWP) and Periodic Investment Plans (PIP) for transitioning firms
Organize client files in LaserFiche to ensure accurate and complete client records
Update account status for terminated representatives and process account closures
Partner with Sales Supervision and internal teams to resolve account and paperwork issues
Educate advisors and their assistants on AdvisorComplete functionality and workflows
Support departmental processing standards, cross-training in other areas as needed
Contribute to departmental projects and other assignments from leadership
Demonstrate commitment to Kestra’s culture of reinvention, advocacy, and integrity
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
1-2 years of financial services industry experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to read, analyze, and reconcile financial reports.
Familiarity with office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, and multi-line phone systems.
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and timely service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-first approach.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Comfort learning and navigating multiple systems and tools.
Positive attitude, flexibility, and professionalism under pressure.
Willingness to work overtime during peak volumes (e.g., December, March, April)
Internal Application Policy:
Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra. Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.
Benefits to support you:
Competitive pay and benefits with a large employer (over 1600 employees nationwide)
401(k), health insurance, and a competitive benefits package
Work in a supportive, collaborative environment committed to professional excellence
Help clients navigate meaningful financial decisions with confidence
Opportunities for training, development, and long-term growth within the firm
Kestra Values: Our Mission is Powering Financial Independence, enabling the growth and success of investing clients and the advisors who serve them. We do that by living our values: Serve, Make it Happen, and One team.
