Required Related Experience

Individuals must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, strong verbal skills, strong hospitality and customer service skills, need to know general directions around campus, must be punctual, reliable, and professional. Previous experience in events setup is a plus!

Physical Requirements

Lifting/pushing/pulling of objects up to and possible over 50 lbs. Standing for long periods of time. Walking and carrying objects up to 25 lbs. Repetitive motion. Work is performed in assigned areas and may occasionally include exposure to weather and elements.

Shift

Flexible Scheduling: Hours will vary depending on your class schedule. Available hours are between 6am and Midnight, 7 days per week. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

Job Summary

The Student Center is currently seeking responsible, outgoing, enthusiastic and friendly individuals to work with the events setup team. Responsibilities include transporting equipment and materials to and from specified locations, including picking up and delivering goods, furniture, and staging, and loading, delivery, unloading, and placement/installation of all event equipment and materials. Performs the setup and breakdown to ensure safety and efficiency for all meetings and events in the UK Student Center and select other locations.
