Job Description As an Assistant Manager you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift: cost controls, inventory, cash, and customer relations. You must follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew. Additional responsibilities include staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
General Job Duties
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete paperwork.
Clean equipment and facilities daily.
Maintain depth perception; differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, make judgments, and decisions.
Physical Requirements Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking: Short distances and durations.
Lifting: Deliveries of up to 50 lb; bulk deliveries unloaded with hand truck.
Carrying: Items up to 30 lb and trays of dough (~12 lb per tray).
Pushing: Trays on dollies up to 30 lb, requiring up to 7.5 lb force.
Climbing: Infrequent stair or ladder use for maintenance.
Stooping/Bending: Periodic forward bending at waist up to 45 s.
Crouching/Squatting: Occasional stock cleaning.
Reaching: Continuous up, down, forward.
Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination, forearm force for shaping dough.
